Saudi Arabia Unveils Plans for Region’s Largest Water Theme Park, Aquarabia

Saudi Arabia has recently revealed its plans to build Aquarabia, the Middle East’s most extensive water theme park, as a part of its bold “Vision 2030.” Situated in the up-and-coming Qiddiya City, which is on track to become a top global tourist spot featuring 22 distinctive entertainment venues and aquatic experiences known as “Six Flags Qiddiya City.”

Aquarabia is set to showcase groundbreaking attractions, including the world’s first double water, the tallest water coaster with the highest jump, the lengthiest and highest water racing track, and an unparalleled underwater adventure with diving vehicles. The park will also have dedicated zones for extreme water activities such as rafting, kayaking, canoeing, free solo climbing, and cliff jumping.

Additionally, there will be innovative rides like the world’s tallest free-standing shot tower, the highest pendulum ride, and the tallest inverted top hat coaster. One of the park’s highlights, Falcon’s Flight, is anticipated to be the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster, running alongside an F1 racing track.

Aquarabia’s theme is inspired by ancient desert wellsprings and Qiddiya’s wildlife in search of an oasis, promising a memorable and immersive experience for all visitors. The introduction of the first surfing pool in the kingdom and attractions suitable for families and thrill-seekers alike will further enhance the park’s appeal.

Scheduled to debut in 2025, Aquarabia and the previously announced Six Flags Qiddiya City are committed to eco-friendly practices. The parks will feature recycled water systems, cutting-edge filtration technologies that minimize water wastage by up to 90%, and waste recycling operations aiming for over 80% diversion from landfills.

These initiatives highlight Saudi Arabia’s dedication to sustainability and its endeavor to establish distinctive entertainment hubs that draw visitors from across the globe. With its impressive features, Aquarabia is poised to make a significant impact on Saudi Arabia’s flourishing entertainment and tourism sector.
